Timeline: 6 1/2 weeks
Heart+ is a wall-mounted first aid hub designed to increase the efficiency of medical care within communal housing. With its friendly design, Heart+ invites users to incorporate their first aid kits into their home‘s decor and personalize their kits for the specific needs of their community.
RESEARCH
Conducted several interviews and a task analysis in order to identify pain points within the first aid experience.
Pain points: + Difficult to locate + Unorganized & disorderly + Requires two hands to apply bandage

IDEATION
Quickly generated napkin sketches and low fidelity prototypes to explore potential forms and functions. Focused on increasing visibility, organization, and personalization in the home first aid process.
MEDIUM FIDELITY PROTOTYPING
Laser cut cardboard for a mid fidelity prototype. Moved away from prior modular shelving ideas in favor of a unified hub to increase centralization. Helped to identify room for potential product improvements (additional doors + shorter shelving).
